The Way

TAO, the nameless oral tradition that served throughout human evolution as the bridge between heaven, human and earth.  This forgotten art of living, also known as the Royal Way or Noble Path received its current name around 2500 years ago by China's great sage Lao Tzu.  His only written work, Tao Te Ching, stated in the first verse "Tao that can be named is not the real Tao"... a powerful statement meant to direct the person to search deep within his own heart to find the true connection to heaven and the vitality, energy and spirit of the universe we live in. 

"Our principles are called the three treasures: 
Compassion, Moderation and Humility."

The Arts

*Note:  Modern people emphasize the practice of meditation, for traditional arts it is only a key to a door, a simple pre-requisite to true alchemy; practice begins by entering this state of mind.  Also, while other Taoist clans have separated inner and outer alchemy, we utilize both according to the needs of the individual in relation to age, sex, geographic location, season, etc.

Gongfu: the development of skill (martial, medical, spiritual) over time under the guidance of a master teacher. We offer basic instruction in tea ceremony as a way of learning joyful service to others and development of the art of Cha Tao.    Use of tea ware, knowledge of types of tea and different processing methods, creation of environment( feng shui), and styles of preparation are covered.  There are no books/blogs/etc. needed and no online kung-fu classes.

Qigong: the absorbtion of energy/Qi from nature, development of the human energy system for self healing,
conditioning of the nerves for increased electrical current, balancing of the musculo-skeletal system and 5 elements/emotional/organ system.  Practice in nature is essential for proper training effects.  Students learn sitting, standing and lying postures both moving and static.  

Neigong: circulation of bioelectrical energy and other intrinsic substances for self healing and re-awakening of one's blissful original child-like nature/ dormant potentials and abilities within genetic material.  Projection of ones energy into nature for development of shengong.  Opening one's self to the energy of the universe is required to access the forces/laws of nature...marvelous skills and abilities to be used for evolution of humanity.  Here energy is circulated and transmitted into nature with or without bodily movements or postures...formlessness meets form in a fusion of physical and non-physical.

Neidan: The process of internal purification and alchemical transformation of the physical body and subsequent creation of the spirit body also know in KUNLUN as golden dragon body, diamond body(Buddhist/Taoist) or rainbow body(Tibetan/Essene).  This is what is meant by the Taoist concept of "immortality" and G.I. Gurdieff's concept of earning one's soul or in western traditions the process Jesus Christ and many others used to achieve "life after death".

Beyond the dogma and limitations of highly arbitrary belief systems and modern cultural fantasies, Taoist practice is composed of arts that lead one to direct experience of not only the mystery, but the maker and manifestations.  The practitioner not only learns about nature, she learns to become nature... not only to feel the wind and water but to become the wind, water and the forces of the universe.  Tao can not be described in terms of who am I, where do I come from, what is my purpose... only lived through the development of one's own body, mind and spirit to the full potential of real human experience. Our ancestral "primitive" cultures described this as being god-like in human form, to mount the skyladder, gain the kingdom and to care for all things as they were your own.
