"Gongfu Tea" (tea with Great Skill) is the traditional Chinese method of tea making from loose leaf tea. Our tea offerings are the result of many master's cultivation of the art of making tea also called Cha Tao. When we make tea we open a window to another time and to far off places shrouded in mist and bathed in sunlight where the ancient tea forests flourish. We will soon begin growing our own oolong here at Stackhouse for use in the Tea Lodge.
Our Kungfu Tea ceremony (Shang Ching) offers a deeply nourishing and detoxifying experience designed to remove the impediments to blissful and harmonious existence and strengthen our energy reserves. We also provide classes for those who wish to learn the traditional methods of gongfu tea making and learn the many uses of fine tea for health, enjoyment and improving human relations. Just imagine learning to use a razor sharp sword to develop your focus, now replace the sword with a steaming tea pot... now you are learning gongfu tea. We realize not everyone wishes to learn anything at all...those folks we call affectionately... tea drunks. Whether you come for knowledge or just to get drunk on the jade elixir, we have a comfortable seat reserved for you. Learning to make tea is easy and all are invited to join, however mastering the skills of Cha Tao is up to you and Heaven.
